A New “PC”

How about a new PC? No, not the desktop computing kind, but the type of PC pronounced by our liberal media led culture. That’s right – I’m talking about being Politically Correct, or “PC” as it’s more commonly abbreviated.
Being “PC” is a concept foisted upon society today as the “correct” way to think, act, and speak. A major part of this worldy & humanistic philosophy is the conception that one must never publicly teach anything that may be considered negative by some, and certainly not contrary to the radical liberal mentality.
While not a new concept, “PC” has gained fresh traction beginning in the mid 1990′s as part of the expansion of the humanist agenda. Many today that espouse this doctrine probably have little idea of it’s origins.
In modernity, the term “politically correct” was first applied by the famous Chinese communist Chairman Mao Zedong. The communist party began collecting Mao’s teachings and publishing in 1964 as Mao’s Little Red Book. The term quickly was adopted by American radicals. The 1990′s confirmed the stranglehold of liberal thinking led by the media and like wildfire, “PC” became the standard by which we are expected to live our lives.
How does this affect the New Testament Christian?
In a world filled with practices and teaching contrary to the Word of God, “PC” affects us greatly. It is amongst the greatest successes of Satan in recent times. After all, when the Bible believer is taught by either social convention, a condemning media, or lawmakers duped into “PC” maintainance, that fundamental Bible truth is no longer “correct”, our culture crumbles. The new common language of “PC” which takes us aways from the Bible is the same type of linguistic that led the Babelites from God (Genesis 11:1-9).
Friends and brethren the simple fact is that the inspired Word (II Timothy 3:16-17) does condemn specific activities. Any practice or teaching contrary to God is sin, and separates us from Him (Isaiah 59:2).
Fear of speaking the truth quickly leads to “closet Christians” of weak faith that is not strengthened by practice (James 2:17-18). Teaching in whispers quickly leads to teaching not at all. And those that need the truth most, shall never receive it as a result. Paul teaches us to hold fast to sound doctrine only, that which is according to the gospel of God (I Timothy 9-11). The doctrines of mankind shall never fit this model!
There is some good to be found in the social convenience of “PC”. It has certainly made many people that never before gave consideration to their speech or actions, a reason for pause. But to the Christian, being mindful of our speech is an old lesson, isn’t it? Brother James reminds us that the un-conditioned tongue can be a terrible force (James 3:5-8).
It’s past time we adopt a new “PC”. Let me suggest the faithful hold firm to a new definition - “Per Christ”. May we be those that hold true to the example of Christ, in His teaching, in His words, in His deeds, and in His willingness to call out sin, that the sinner might be saved.
“For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.”
John 13:15

That’s a good point Greg! It’s tragic that America is no longer a Christian nation. Our society has turned our back on God and we are going to pay dearly for it-and if I read my bible correctly, every nation that does not obey God’s word will be destroyed! The American people got themselves into this situation. We’ve got nobody to blame but ourselves. I enjoyed reading this article. God bless….Jeremy Rubinoff
I wouldn’t say America has turned its back on God as much as being PC has misled so many to believe that not being offensive is paramount to teaching the truth. We have even had former members demand that we not teach that one is lost if they haven’t been baptized.
Ultimately it ends up being the same thing to allow just any teaching to suffice.
