Love From Above
Love is the key
To the heart’s door.
It can make a man free
Or cut him to the core.
Love has the power
To take one’s breath.
It can be as a flower
Or as a kiss of death.
Love mishandled
Can be a dangerous thing.
It can melt as a candle
Or be as a storm in spring.
Yet, love that is nurtured
And allowed to bloom
Can be as a suture
On a horrible wound.
God gave man love
To help him through life.
A glimpse of heaven above
In a world full of strife.
May we always be thankful
For the love that God gave
By sending His beloved Son
That we might be saved.
