Job’s View of the Death of the Righteous and the Afterlife

He saw it as a sleep.

He saw it as a place of rest and freedom from trouble.

He saw it as a place of perfect equality – the small and great are there.

He saw it as a place of comfort.

He saw its finality – there are no more opportunities after death.

He saw it as a place where his Redeemer would reward him; where he would be given his resurrection body; and where He would see God.
