Looking to Jesus’ Last Sayings on the Cross When Dealing with Adversity
1. Be Forgiving of Those Who Do Not Have Your Best Interest in Mind – Luke 23:34.
2. Look beyond Your Own Struggles to Help Others Who Experience Similar Problems – Luke 23:39-43.
3. Remember Your Family – John 19:26-27.
4. Give All Your Difficult “Why” Questions unto God – Matthew 27:46.
5. Don’t Be too Proud to Let Others Know of Your Weaknesses and Your Needs - John 19:28
6. Be Assured That There is Great Value and Purpose in What You Might Be Going Through – Notice the eternal significance Jesus recognized of the suffering He bore when He declared the words “It is finished” – John 19:30.
7. Finally, Totally Surrender Your Life unto God – Jesus’ final words on the cross were “Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit” (Luke 23:46).
