What the Eyes of Jesus Look Upon

“The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good” – Prov. 15:3

  1. Jesus’ eyes see those who suffer and are in need of care – Matthew 8:14
  2. Jesus’ eyes behold the faithful works of those who bear the burdens of others – Matthew 9:2; Mark 2:5
  3. Jesus’ eyes see great potential in the least of people – Matthew 9:9; Mark 2:14; Luke 19:5; John 1:42
  4. The eyes of Jesus look for those who are seeking Him –  Matt 9:20-22
  5. His eyes look confidently upon His enemies – Luke 6:10
  6. The eyes of Jesus look with compassion upon the distressed and misdirected – Matthew 9:36-38; Matthew 14:14; Mark 6:34
  7. The eyes of Jesus looked up into heaven as He offered up prayer – Matthew 14:19; Mark 6:41; Luke 9:16
  8. His eyes behold those who marvel at the unfathomable nature of God – Matthew 19:24-26
  9. His eyes look upon us in hopes that we remain faithful and bear fruit in His kingdom – Matthew 21:19-22
  10. His eyes behold with anger and grief those with hardened hearts – Mark 3:5
  11. His eyes see those who grieve over the loss of loved ones – Mark 5:35-38
  12. His eyes look despairingly on any who impede His mission of salvation – Mark 8:31-33
  13. Jesus’ eyes beheld opportunities to build faith in others – Mark 9:25
  14. His eyes watch the way in which people treat children – Mark 10:13-16
  15. His eyes behold the things which occur in places of worship – Mark 11:11             
  16. His eyes observe the way in which we give  - Mark 12:41; Luke 21:1
  17. His eyes look through us to show us who we really are – Luke 22:61; Revelation 1:14; Revelation 2:18
  18. His eyes beheld Satan falling as lightning as a result of the good works of His disciples – Luke 10:18
  19. His eyes behold in sorrow those who would reject Him – Luke 19:41; Luke 20:17-19
  20. His eyes behold those who faithfully serve Him – Acts 7:56-60

“For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him” – 2 Chron. 16:9
