It’s Time for Dale Ridge Kid’s Day – The Ice Age

prof_magBitter cold!  Arctic blasts lower temperatures!  Icy weather ahead!

Judging from this morning’s headlines our timing could not be more perfect to kick off Season 2 of Dale Ridge Kid’s Day with Professor Digsalot and a study of “The Ice Age”.

  • Was there really an Ice Age?
  • If so, what caused it?
  • What was life like during the Ice Age?
  • Does the Bible have anything to say about the Ice Age?

This last point is certainly the most important.  What can we learn about the Ice Age from the Bible?  What does God’s Word have to say about this enigma of science?  Can the Bible help us understand the latest scientific discoveries?  Come join our adult class for an in depth examination of the geological, archaeological, and Biblical record.

Ensuring we gain an accurate understanding of the history of the world which God created is imperative.  Limiting our study of history to cartoon epics and talking cuddlies that entertain us by subtly filling our minds (and our children) with evolutionary doctrine prevents our full appreciation for the evidence and magnitude of God’s recent creation.   As we recognize the Bible as the inspired Word (2 Timothy 3:16), we must use that Word as the authorized record by which all theories are to be evaluated.  “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good” Paul tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:21.

Come join us this Saturday 17 January as we meet 10.00 AM at the church building to answer these, and many other, questions about this fascinating topic.

Classes for all ages!  Singing!  Crafts!  Puppets!  Lunch!
