Always be ready

LUKE 5: 1-6

Verse 1,  People pressed upon him to learn the word,,that tells me the locals wanted to hear the gospel,  as well as abroad we need to teach the gospel to all nations,  Jesus loves the little children, red, yellow, black and white.

Verse 2,  ships standing by the lake, but no fishermen,,, that tells me that ships are like us, standing they don’t accomplish anything for the lord, only when they are put to use are they worth their weight.

Verse 3, Christ entered into Simon’s ship, which he used to teach from,,that tells me we must use all means to reach and teach those that are lost, spread the gospel by ship, car, plane, train, tv, radio, etc. and most of all us.

Verse 4,  After speaking, he ask Simon to launch out into the deep, and let down your net,,,that tells me we need to go areas we have not been as well as continue to teach were we have been, I love that word launch, so much determination in that word, go expecting big returns.

Verse 5,  Simon said Master, we have toiled here all night and have taken nothing, nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net,,,that tells me the love and respect Simon had for the Master,,remember,  they had already washed their nets meaning they were finished for the day with not a single fish for their hard work, as we must never become discouraged in doing the work of the Lord, but always be ready for the next day.
