Mother
What can I say special about my mother?
If I had my pick, I’d not choose another.
She’s had more than her share of sickness and pain;
I’ve often wondered how she’s managed the strain.
She’s raised five children, with Adam that’s six;
Which meant lots of scratches and bruises to fix!
She taught me how God wants me to live;
That to receive is not as fun as to give.
She’s a comfort to the sick, a friend to the poor,
And she daily reads from God’s word to learn more.
We’ve shared many a smile and many a tear;
Tho’ many miles away, in my heart she’s near.
She taught us all how to love one another.
I’m so very proud that she is my mother!
Lovingly,
Lou Ann
