James wraps up his letter with some parting advice:
- a warning that rich people who got their fortunes at the expense of others will find themselves very sad.
- Having patience until the Lord returns is important. Consider the farmer that plants and waits and Job having to wait until the Lord revealed His plan for him.
- We are to simply let our words stand good on their own merits and not swear or take oaths
- Prayer from a righteous person is very powerful
- Keeping a wondering brother close
