Suffering together and for Christ continues to be the theme in this chapter. This was to be a comforting letter to those in Nero’s time enduring the torture and trials the Christians endured because of his example. For us today, we can follow this advice to handle our own troubles.

v1-6 Make a change from worldly ways

v7-11 Love each other and use the gifts from God well

v12-19 Christian suffering
