Either Luke records the same event recorded in Matthew 5-7 or he records another event with what must have been often used material from Jesus’ teachings. Whatever the case, Luke lays out for us the basics for living Christ like – We are to be loving, kind, forgiving and we are to doers of His will and not profess Him in name only.
