The Romans allow the Council to raise their charges against Paul, but nothing is found worthy of death or bonds as the Jews desired. The Jews have devised a plot and vow to kill Paul. Paul’s nephew hears about it and tips off the chief. Paul is sent to Caesarea to stand before Felix, but the need 70 horsemen, 200 spearmen and 200 soldiers to get him there under the cover of night.

Paul has asked the guards to allow him to address the crowd and he recounts how Jesus came to him on the road to Damascus. He tells the story in Hebrew which really gets the attention of the Jews. They listened until the point that he talks about teaching the Gentiles. The guards hurry him away from the angry crowd where the chief planned to beat him.

Paul makes his way to Jerusalem. He has converted multitudes of Gentiles, teaching them that they don’t have to obey the law of Moses. This has given him quite a reputation among the Jews. The Jews do not approve and attack him once they recognize him. The Roman guards have to capture him to keep the mob from killing him.
