I have given the Sermons page the attention it needs. I hope to be able to get Michael’s sermons posted on a regular basis now. Here’s four from late 2008 that I added today to test the system:

Week 1 Review – Mark 1-5

Hopefully you have spent this week reading along in Mark as we work toward reading the New Testament in a year. This schedule will help those of us who are “too busy” or “read too slow” or make “too many” excuses discipline ourselves to read the Bible each day this year.

Daily Bible Reading for 2010

We have challenged each other here at Dale Ridge to read our Bibles this year. There are numerous ways to do this systematically and we simply suggest that you find one that works for you and set a goal to read you Bible this year.

What does a goal look like?

A goal has a definitive action and a deadline. A goal to read through your Bible this year needs to look something like this:

“I will read the entire New Testament by December 31, 2010.”

Or

“I will read the entire Bible using the Daily Reading Schedule updated Daily …

God or Man: Whom Do We Choose To Serve?

In the Book of Exodus we read of how the king of Egypt commanded the Hebrew midwives Shiphrah and Puah to kill the Hebrew baby boys as soon as they were born (Ex. 1:15-16).  We know from history that to disobey the king was punishable by death.  Yet, we read in verse 17 how these two midwives feared God and did not do as the king of Egypt had ordered.  They saved the male children alive, and we see in verses 20 and 21 how God dealt well with the midwives and even made them houses.  We know from verse …

GOLF 101

I love golf, don’t get to play much but really enjoy getting out there especially with my kids or close friends, just something about being out there at a place that has been well maintained, the flowers, the trees,,hazards, did I mention the water, sand, hazards. One lesson I have learned about golf is that you must keep your head down, I keep my head down so much that I sometimes don’t see were my ball went.
