  • See Brad Harrub’s Debate Tonight on GBN - The subject matter is whether or not atheism makes people and cultures lose their moral compasses. You and I might think there’s little to talk about if that’s the axis of discussion, but I think you will find this rhetorical contest engaging and ultimately important for your families to witness. It occurred in Charleston a [...]
  • The Blind Leading the Blind - Life’s been challenging lately. A bulging schedule was looming when I became one of the caretakers for my dad as he recovers from some life-threatening infections and a whopping case of pneumonia. While every minute with him was spent right where I wanted to be, there have been a couple of times when I have [...]
  • Happy Valentine’s Day - Here’s a quick valentine idea for your sweetheart. My daughter did this for her husband and sneaked it into our family valentine box. Buy a deck of playing cards. Get some pretty paper. Write a list of 52 reasons you love (respect) your man. Print or write (calligraphy is nice) one reason on each of [...]
  • Before You Know It - It was kind of neat the other day, when Dad was being moved from the hospital to the rehabilitation facility, when we found out that the transfer officer was a distant cousin of his. She started by asking if Dad was kin to certain people to whom she was also related. I was glad before [...]
  • Clips are Keepers and February’s Digging Deep Study - So all the people who hated the Keeper’s Clip did not write in and say so. That means all the response has been positive! As a result, we’ve decided to make the Keeper’s Clip a regular feature to conclude the monthly Digging Deep Podcast. Each month we will feature one of you sharing your best [...]

  • Pray For Others, Pray For Knowledge, Pray For Wisdom -

    THINGS CHRISTIANS SHOULD PRAY FOR!

    INTRODUCTION:

    1. Open your bible please to Colossians 1:9&10.

    2. In Colossians 1:9-11 Paul prays for those of the church at Colossae. In this lesson we are going to limit our study to just verses 9&10. We will study verse eleven in another study.

    3. We will study this prayer for at least two reasons.

    1) One reason will be to apply it to our own lives. If those of the church at Colossae needed these things then each and every Christian would need these things. Do you agree?

    2) Another reason for studying these things is so that we will better understand what we should pray for when we pray. Again, do you agree?

    4. Let's begin to discuss the things that Paul prayed for.

  • Facts and Lessons from Colossians -

    INTRODUCTION:

    1. Open your Bible please to Colossians 1:1-8.

    2. Colossians 1:1-8 acquaints a reader of the book of Colossians with who wrote the epistle, who the epistle was written to and some of the reason why the epistle was written.

    3. Before we get into a study of the book we will say a few things about the city of Colossae.

    1) Colossae, geographically was located in Asia Minor. Colossae is about 450 to 500 miles North West from Jerusalem if a person were to go by airplane. Someone, going by sea and by land may travel twice that far.

  • Where Are You From? - Neal Pollard I’ve been asked that most of my adult life.  Being raised in Georgia and receiving my college education in Alabama and Tennessee, I was asked that from the time my family and I moved to Virginia in 1994 and am constantly asked that since we moved here to Colorado in 2006.  My accent […]
  • Chicken Wings - Tony Johnson At work one day we were having a potluck and one of guys had brought his special recipe hot wings. His special recipe was to blend the habanero chili peppers into a paste, mix it into a little Tabasco sauce, and bake it into the chicken wings. Before we got ready to eat […]

  • Having stood at the DPS for about an… - Having stood at the DPS for about an hour and a half to renew my driver’s license, it’s time now to study Revelation 4-5 for tonight’s class. Next renewal: 2018.
  • The Old Cowboy has some more of the… - The Old Cowboy has some more of the story started yesterday. The Gospel Meeting mentioned yesterday while well attended by members of the church in Omaha, the community mostly ignored it. Worst of all the requests for the free Bible Correspondence Course all but died. Sortly after the Gospel Meeting was over we tested several [...]
