Baptism of the Holy Spirit?

We have previously examined the questions of Who is the Holy Spirit? and What is the Purpose of the Holy Spirit? Today we’ll have a look at the concept of a “Baptism of the Holy Spirit” and the idea that it is a possibility today. We read of the Holy Spirit coming upon Jesus, the Apostles, and Cornelius’s and his household. The only other way the Scriptures have recorded the Holy Spirit being given was by the laying on of the Apostle’s hands. We are quite simply not baptized in the Holy Spirit, as Romans 6:3 shows us, we are baptized into Christ and Matthew 28:19, …
