Jesus and Job Compared

The following is a chart which shows several ways in which Job is a type of Christ.  The one who designed the chart is unknown.  A type is simply a shadow of that which is the real and the perfect (Hebrews10:1).  The attributes of Job in the Old Testament merely point to the perfect and complete attributes of Christ in the NewTestament.  Here is a link to a pdf file of the chart – job-a-type-of-christ.  Below the chart are listed the crossword puzzles for Job chapters 37-39.

Growing like Christ

“And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.” Luke 2:51, My own definition of “increased” is to do or be more today than yesterday, to excel, to improve in all aspects of life, especially in our christian life.  We too need to increase in knowledge by daily bible study, attending bible classes, attending gospel meeting, kids day, VBS, etc.  but notice how God was put first in this verse before man, we all must try to please God and not man and by always putting God first in our lives.

The Royal Messiah #4: The Inheritance of All Nations

             In the fourth installment of this series on Psalm 2, we will briefly look at David Kimhi’s third and final argument which he believes shows that this psalm is not Messianic.  The simple fact that he draws attention to this passage in his commentary and argues against its reference to “Christ” (which is the New Testament word for “messiah” or “the annointed one”) should be a demonstration to us as Christians of this psalms tremendous importance.
